After a whole month working on the sketches for the book (see the next section!!), I definitely needed some fresh air before continuing!
So this week, I have two completely different illustrations to show you!
The first one is far out of my comfort zone: it's an acrylic painting, the first one that I have ever completed.
The work in progress was sitting on the shelf for a while, and I'm super happy to finally have complete it.
I'm really a solely digital first artist at heart, so working with paint and brushes is really unusual for me. It took some time to understand how to mix the colors, how much water to use and with what kind of brushes, but in the end I still had a very good time 🌸
The second illustration has a completely different vibe to it, I'm sure you can easily tell.
It was inspired by a super high-energy playlist I was listening to on loop, the night after having completed my October challenge. I was full of adrenaline, and finished the whole thing in the same evening!
This is really not the kind of illustration I got you used you to, and I don't think I'll continue on that path; but I needed to complete something shorter and more fun to celebrate :)
Now that I've completed the October project and reset my mind, I'm ready to dive back into the book!
